LT. Colonel Shim Kyu-yong

Lt.Col Shim was born in Seoul in 1980 and graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2003. His main fighter type is KF-16, he has flown more than 1,500 hours. Having served the team as #6 and #5 from 2011 to 2015, he was appointed the Black Eagles flight squadron commander in December 2021. Through teamwork spirit and flawless airshows, he spares no effort to give hopes and dreams to people and promote ROK's excellence to the world.
