The republic of Korea air force should conduct aviation operations as major missions. For the purpose of this, it should be made up into a war footing or a peace footing contingently and airmen should be absolutely instructed and trained. These tasks are as follows.

Peacetime - Duty to deter war and increase national interests Surveil the enemy indication Keep utmost combat readiness posture Take stronger attitude against local conflict provocation Peace keeping activities and disaster relief

Wartime - Accomplishment to play a key role for victory Obtain air superiority and information dominance Neutralize the enemy's power and break their fighting spirit and military potential Support activities for ground troops and naval forces Enhance the capability to conduct continuous operations and complete the mission to protect military strength
